Roll the pastry really tightly in step 4 so it’s less likely to burst in the oven. Don’t worry if it does burst, though – the pudding will still taste fantastic.
When using coconut milk, always shake the tin well before opening.
Prepare the jam roly-poly, unbaked, to the end of step 4 up to 12 hours in advance.
