Have you ever tried a classic daiquiri? Today the daiquiri comes in many forms, often adulterated with different fruits and infusions (all of which are very tasty). But the OG daiquiri is just a simple combination of rum, lime and sugar, thought to have originated in Cuba at the end of the nineteenth century. It’s the original sour cocktail – and remains as refreshing today as it did all those years ago.

No sugar syrup? Icing sugar is a great substitute, as it’s fine enough to dissolve into the liquid it’s shaken with quickly.
