The woman whom the TV historian Dominic Sandbrook called “the true queen of the Eighties” published her first recipe way back in 1969. In this exclusive feature inside our latest issue, she tells, in her own words, the story of how a woman with no O-levels, who couldn’t spell, became a legend of British cookery.
Also in the October issue of delicious., the great and the good of the food world line up in praise of Delia, with Jamie Oliver revealing he kisses her picture every day, and celebrity chef Prue Leith admitting that even her own brother prefers cooking Delia’s recipes.
