Win a Nielsen-Massey Jubilee baking hamper and Smeg food mixer worth £500

It’s not long now until celebrations of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee take place. 12 million people in the UK are expected to celebrate the occasion from 2-5 June. Festivities include a range of street parties and gatherings with friends and family, in which food and drink, and particularly cakes, will take centre stage.

How to enter

We thought it was time to replace the ubiquitous Victoria Sponge, named after Queen Victoria, with an ‘Elizabeth cake’ for our Queen, so we’d like you to send in your own Elizabeth cake recipe, with accompanying photography. You can create anything you think would be enjoyed at a Jubilee celebration, and the only stipulation is that, like the Victoria sponge recipe, it should include vanilla extract. You can even include a cake you’ve previously made, that you’re super proud of.

The entries will be judged by a panel including a Nielsen-Massey team member, Head of Food at delicious magazine and an independent judge. The winner’s recipe will be featured on the Nielsen-Massey website.
