To mark KitchenAid’s 100th anniversary we’re giving you the chance to win a limited-edition centenary model of the famous stand mixer, exclusive to Waitrose & Partners customers.

Over the course of the past 100 years, generations of home cooks and restaurant chefs have relied on their KitchenAid stand mixer to make light and expert work of all their cooking prep.

The original mixer was developed in 1908 by Ohio-based engineer Herbert Johnston and in 1919 the first version with the unique ‘planetary’ mixing action and sleekly curved chassis went on sale.

The story goes that while testing the as-yet unnamed product, the wife of an employee exclaimed: “I don’t care what you call this thing – it’s the best kitchen aid I’ve ever had!” And the rest, as they say, is history…

To mark the centenary, the company has created this beautiful ‘misty blue’ version of the classic mixer with heritage-inspired styling including a retro KitchenAid logo and trim, along with a hobnail-finish titanium- reinforced ceramic bowl.

It comes with the standard range of accessories including a flat beater, flex-edge beater, dough hook and wire whisk.
