Michelada cocktail

Looking for a beer cocktail? The Michelada could be the answer. It’s a popular Latin-American cocktail known in Spanish as cerveza preparada (prepared beer).
And if you’re having a South-American themed-party, here’s a caipirinha recipe for you.
- Serves 1
- Takes 5 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp sea salt
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- Lime juice
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 dashes hot sauce
- 1 dash soy sauce
- 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
- A pinch of pepper
- 1 ice-cold Mexican beer such as Corona
- Lime wedges, to serve
Method
- Mix sea salt and chilli powder on a saucer, run a little lime juice around the rim of a glass, then dip into the chilli mix.
- Fill the glass with ice, add 2 tbsp lime juice, 2 dashes hot sauce, 1 dash soy sauce, 1 dash Worcestershire sauce and a pinch of pepper. Slowly pour in an ice-cold Mexican beer such as Corona. Decorate with lime wedges, stir and enjoy.
