Melted chocolate and cinnamon is a marriage made in heaven. Try it in this easy drink recipe for a cold evening.
- Serves 4
- Ready in 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 900ml full-fat milk
- 200g plain chocolate
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 tsp golden caster sugar
- 16 marshmallows
- Dark rum or brandy (optional)
Method
- Pour the milk into a pan. Break the chocolate into pieces and add to the pan, along with the cinnamon sticks and sugar. Heat gently, stirring all the time until the chocolate has melted and is smooth. Take out the cinnamon sticks and pour into glasses.
- Serve with marshmallows floating on top or on a wooden cocktail stick to stir in. If you prefer a stronger cinnamon flavour, infuse the sticks in the milk over a very low heat for 10 minutes before you add the chocolate. If you prefer a kick to your chocolate, add a swig of dark rum or brandy instead.
