Air fryer sweet potato fries

These air fryer sweet potato fries are an energy efficient way to get perfectly crisp fries without a deep-fat fryer or oven. Feel free to load them up with toppings, or serve as a side to meat or fish.

Ingredients
- 4 sweet potatoes (about 600g), scrubbed
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Method
- Heat the air fryer to 200°C. Cut the sweet potatoes into 1cm thick chips, then toss in a bowl with the cumin, paprika, oil and some salt.
- Cook in the air fryer for 12-14 minutes (for maximum crispness, do this in batches if you have a small air fryer).

The key with anything air-fried is to ensure each piece of food has space around it – if you overload your air fryer, then some of the buried pieces of sweet potato won’t crisp up. It’s a good idea to give everything a brief toss once or twice throughout the cooking process to ensure an even finish.
