Next we head to Falmouth in Cornwall and pop into the Star & Garter by the harbour for a pint and a bite to eat. Winner of the Food Reader Awards 2016, this restaurant with rooms serves fish direct from the boat and farmed meat which they butcher, cure and smoke themselves – and now they’re thinking of running cookery courses.
The eating and drinking continues with an innovative beer pairing pop-up with Sharps Brewery and podcaster Gilly Smith setting sail on a mini gastrotour down the River Thames.
