Hotels and restaurants with gorgeous gardens
The Good Food Guide recommend four hotels and restaurants boasting beautiful gardens and great dining experiences.
The Royal Horticultural Society’s Chelsea Flower Show is one of the highlights of the summer for garden lovers. Held annually in May, tickets are pricey and sell out quickly, so if you don’t fancy an expensive trip to Chelsea, the following hotels and restaurants boast beautiful gardens. If you’re looking for inspiration for your own garden, here’s a way to pick up some great ideas – with the added bonus of a very good meal.
Tuddenham Mill
It’s hard not to be seduced by Tuddenham Mill from the word go. In early summer willow trees dip into a picture-perfect mill pond, fluffball ducklings ripple the water, and flower-filled meadows stretch into the distance. Add in skillful and adventurous cooking and you’ll never want to leave.
Monachyle Mhor
This very special family-run country hotel is situated in the heart of Loch Lomond and the breathtaking Trossachs National Park. With 2000 acres of gardens and grounds, Monachyle Mhor is an impressive enterprise now incorporating a fishmongers cum chippie, bakery and tea room – what more could you want?
Lake Country House
This nineteenth-century former hunting lodge standing in 50 acres of parkland is the perfect place for a celebration. Enjoy the lush gardens, woodlands and lawns and even take in a spot of fishing in the River Irfon. After you’ve enjoyed the surrounds head to the dining room for a meal to savour.
Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons
If you want unashamed luxury and pure delight head straight to Raymond Blanc’s legendary Le Manoir and bask in English country charm in the beautiful 2-acre gardens. The ultimate dream ticket for anyone who wants a real taste of the good life – if only for a few hours…
