Cocktail of the month… Caipirinha
There’s something going on in Brazil this month, apparently. So get out your muddler, put on a Seventies samba album, make some pão de queijo and prepare to party.
1 Slice ½ juicy lime into 4 wedges, put in a tumbler with 2 tsp brown sugar, then muddle to the music. Use those hips.
2 Keeping the rhythm, wrap some ice cubes in a clean tea towel, bash with a rolling pin until crushed, then fill the glass. Top up with 50ml cachaça, Brazil’s sugar cane spirit. I like smooth, organic Abelha, new in larger M&S stores, which smells like a cane field on a tropical breeze. Pra caramba!
