It comes with three attachments for blending/mixing, whisking and mashing, and is super powerful. It’s just as adept at blending sauces or soups on the hob as it is creating pommes purées. This is a great gift for someone with a small kitchen too, as the one gadget performs three tasks. Available from Cuisinart (£150).

What would you say if we told you it’s possible to buy Sheffield-forged, professional grade steel knives, made by a fourth generation knife maker, with a handle made from plastic that would otherwise go to landfill? Having already saved 1.346 kg of plastic, they’re doing good too. Rare Tea Co Lost Malawi English breakfast
The sourcing of Rare Tea’s leaves is second to none. The tin is a thing of beauty too. Available from Rare Tea Co (£6.49 for 50g).
