Apple sauce

You can’t eat roast pork without apple sauce so we’ve rustled up an easy recipe for you, which can be frozen for your convenience.
Ingredients
- 500g Bramley apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 50g caster sugar
- 25g butter
Method
- Put the chopped apples into a saucepan with 150ml water and the sugar. Cover and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring often, until very soft. Remove the lid and simmer until all the water has evaporated.
- Remove from the heat and beat in the butter with a wooden spoon or an electric hand whisk until really smooth. Serve with the roast pork.
