How to make an apple mock-jito
Forget the boring orange juice option if you’re detoxing, driving or teetotal this weekend.
Redemption, the previously roaming pop-up alcohol-free bar, is finally settling down in Notting Hill (where else but the spiritual celeb home of juicing and cleansing) and opening its doors on 10 August.
To celebrate, they’ve given us their apple mockjito recipe for you to make at home (plus: if you’re not feeling so saintly, check out our tip at the end).
Ingredients:
- 25ml organic apple fruit concentrate (we used Coldpress golden delicious apple juice, from Ocado)
- 3-4 fresh mint leaves
- 200ml good quality naturally sparkling mineral water
- ½ lime, cut into chunks
Method:
1. Pour the apple fruit concentrate over the mint and lime, then mash it all up with the end of a wooden spoon.
2. Place ice cubes on top, then finish with the sparking mineral water. Stir, then decorate with a slither of lime and a mint leaf.
Top tip: Add a measure of dark rum to create an apple twist on a classic mojito!
Cheers!
